Women's Equality Day 2013!

Please join The Women's Equality Day Evansville Committee, in partnership with the University of Evansville Patricia H. Snyder Concert and Lecture Series, for the 2013 Women's Equality Day Luncheon on Wednesday, August 28  from Noon to 1 pm at The Centre with guest speaker Dr. Julianne Malveaux.  The featured organization is Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Dr. Julianne Malveaux is the 15th President of Bennett College for Women. She is an economist, author and commentator whose popular writings has appeared in USA Today, Black Issues in Higher Education, Ms.Magazine, Essence Magazine, the Progressive and many more.

Well-known for appearances on national network programs, Malveaux, has hosted television and radio programs, and appeared widely as a commentator, on networks including CNN, BET, PBS, NBC, ABC, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, C-SPAN and others.

A committed activist and civic leader, Dr. Malveaux has held positions in women’s, civil rights, and policy organizations. Currently she serves on the boards of the Economic Policy Institute, The Recreation Wish List Committee of Washington, DC, and the Liberian Education Trust. She has also lectured at more than 500 colleges/universities.

She is the Founder of Last Word Productions, Inc. a multimedia production company that serves as a vehicle for the work and products of Dr. Julianne Malveaux. For the last 10 years the company has centered its efforts on Dr. Malveaux’s public speaking appearances, her work as a broadcast and print journalist, and author.


She is also a member of the Women's Equality Day Luncheon's featured organization:  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
